The Assassin's Enemy Lover

Chapter 333

StarNet was already calling for his resignation after all those prime ministers were attacked. Soon he would be forced to relinquish his authority over the military and everything else would undoubtedly fall in line.

Thus at the press of a button, prime minister Ju blew up the explosive device within Yi Chen’s proximity and it exploded with snow rising high up in the sky. At that distance, he was sure that brat was dead.

A gleeful smile appeared on his face as he scrolled through the other cameras to see who else to explode next. His smile froze when he saw a face so familiar. At first, he scrolled by but something told him to scroll back and when he took a second look he pulled up the kid’s records.

When he saw that surname he scoffed and knew he had found his next target. He could deal with two problematic people at the same time that was the Marshal and the Bloodgarde.

Thus the moment Zi Han came into view he lit that explosion like a Christmas tree. The mountains that had somewhat restored calm became violent and chaotic with the explosion spanning a great distance.

Zi Han who didn’t expect that was thrown off by the explosive force and for a moment he thought he was going to die. He got buried deep in the snow and another avalanche swept past further burying his mech.

This one prime minister Ju did enjoy. But just like the saying ‘the devil never sleeps’ his system was hacked again and this time it was hacked by a god. The shield he had surrounding Loch Ness Star was taken down and all communications were restored.

He wasn’t too pleased with the outcome but the damage had been done and his plan from then on would go very well. There was no way Yi Chen and Zi Xingxi’s sons would survive that kind of explosion at that distance thus he was very confident.

.....

Meanwhile, Zi Han woke up in the very exact same situation as before with the only difference being that he was no longer in Yi Chen’s arms. He was all alone surrounded by a mountain of snow with Igneous calling his name trying to wake him up.

Zi Han sat up and rubbed his sore muscles. This time he had buckled himself in the seat so he didn’t fly around upon impact but his entire body was still sore.

“Iggy... tell me where is Yi Chen,” he said disregarding his own body condition. The first person he thought about was his lover. It was because he was afraid Yi Chen would worry thus he wanted to get to him as soon as possible.

Igneous scanned for his body’s condition while pinpointing the last known location.

“Sir your leg is injured. Would you like us to address that first,” asked Igneous reluctant to mention what happened to Yi Chen. He knew after that Zi Han would care less about himself and more about Yi Chen.

His father was exactly like that. They could care less about their own health as long as their sweetheart was fine. Yes, they could heal but they weren’t immortal.

Zi Han seemed to sense something off about Igneous speech thus he asked again, “Where is Yi Chen?” Igneous tried to play dumb but knowing Zi Han’s character he decided to give him the last known location.

Zi Han’s heart panicked when he heads the words last known location. It meant that all communications were down again and Yi Chen might be in trouble.

A powerful laser beam shot through the snow and Igneous emerged from the snow and ripped through the atmosphere heading towards Yi Chen’s direction. His hands were trembling his eyes misty and he was on the verge of losing his shit but he had to keep it together and find Yi Chen.

When he reached the coordinates, other than a vast sea of white there was no mech in sight.

Zi Han’s chest tightened and he felt stifled for a second. He couldn’t randomly blast through the snow so he could only dig.

His heart rate spiked sharply as he dug through the snow and that’s when the tears began to wail up. Just when he thought he was alone his mother’s voice suddenly connected to his mech and called out to him.

“Han Han... are you there... Sweety, mum is very worried. Please answer mum, okay?”

Zi Han who had dug so much with snow piling on his shoulders whispered, “Ma... I can’t find him. He... he... I can’t find him.” Zi Xingxi felt like her heart had been stabbed by a sharp blade when she felt his broken heart through his voice.

“Check your locator. It’s already restored... You should find him now,” she said. She was right. Everything had gone back to normal but he still couldn’t locate Yi Chen.

“Ma I can’t find, find him,” he said his voice brittle as his tears began to flow even more. Yes, he never said the L word but he loved him so much that he wouldn’t see the point of living if Yi Chen was gone.

“His locator must be broken. Raylan can’t stand such extreme temperatures. Let me, let me figure something out,” she said only for Zi Han to raise his hand looking at his finger.

His downturned lips suddenly quirked up as he laughed while crying. “Ma, my ring. Lynn Feng should hack my ring. He is wearing his,” he said only for the Zi father and daughter to look at each other. They didn’t know their little Han had trust issues. The boy even found a subtle way to track his fiance. He could track him through a ring.

Lynn Feng hastily opened the cloud file with the tracking software and two seconds later Yi Chen’s location was up on the screen. She immediately forwarded it to him.

While Zi Han was blasting through the thick snow to rescue his lover, Zi Xingxi and Zi Feiji were staring at Lynn Feng looking for answers.

“Is Yi Chen cheating?” asked grandpa Zi ready to skin someone.

Lynn Feng, “No.”

Zi Xingxi, “Is he up to some shady stuff?”

Lynn Feng, “No.”

“Then why did he put a tracker in their engagement rings?”

Lynn Feng, “...”

How was she supposed to know? She was just following instructions.
